  2.  @Spirit-FilledMindset  Inflation/deflation is really confusing and the fact that people nowadays have the ability to coast on credit for months (and years) makes interpreting what's going on even more difficult.

  3. There's two different prices. The prices of the things you need and the prices of the things you want. If incomes are flat, then prices going up in one causes prices to go down in the other. A lot of people think housing and transportation are in the need category, and they are, but "nice housing" and "nice transportation" are in the want category.

  4. The hundreds of billions we're spending on the unpopular proxy wars in Ukraine and Israel (and even the proxy cold war in Taiwan) is probably a worse run rate that the Vietnam war.
