Jefferson was against democracy, back then democracy was considered two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for dinner. This country was founded as a Constitutional Republic, trying to change it into a democracy is a literal act of war and attempt to destroy this country.

If elections in this country were democracy the popular vote would determine the winner and the Constitution would mean nothing, that's not how things work here. Democracy is mob rule, in a Constitutional Republic the Constitution is what rules not the mob. This is all basic American history. Facts matter much more than "contemporary knowledge".
