@LogiForce86 It's not the metric system that holds the American truck manufacturers back. It's the lack of competition.

The drivers that asked if they could buy one are European emigrants.

@LogiForce86 Years ago Volvo tried their big 16L Volvo inline six engine in America. It did have power and good fuel economy but reliability was bad. So Volvo decided to stop using it for North America.

All the European emigrants in the US want Volvos, which is funny because Volvo is a cheap truck in America.

Mostly Euro trash comments here. Not much interest from American truckers.

I don't care for the cabover, but I'll take the hydraulic brake retarder, the no EGR and no DPF emissions system, the idle free heat and ac, the disc brakes, the engine power and all the safety features. With all that said a truck like this in America will cost close to $400,000 or more. So who will be able to afford it? Freight is cheap in the US and so are the trucks.

If Scania comes to the US, it will not sell theese trucks. It will make cheaper trucks for the US because the freight is cheap here. It won't pay off. Look at Volvo. Why they don't sell the same trucks in the US the sell in Europe.

The same truck might have a better fuel economy in Europe because they have a better diesel and gasoline also.
