Bruce after the winter is over take the Scania to Colorado on I 70 loaded 80 000lbs , climb to11 000 feet, to show the power this truck has, then downhill to demonstrate the combined braking power of the engine brake plus the hydraulic retarder and the disc brakes.

KAMAZ is 19 TIMES WINNER of the Paris-Dakar Rally. Anything else to say?

@karalius225 Yeah we have more space inside the truck, but also outside the truck. That is not available in Europe.

I think he already hauled a load with the Scania. Maybe he can do it as a "not for hire" carrier.

@alexpervanoglu7420 80k is the legal limit in the USA without a overweight permit. You don't have a highway in Europe that climbs to over 11000 feet of elevation. That's what I'm talking about.

@akyhne Obviously you have never been in America. I've lived in Europe and I know the conditions there. Will never choose to be a truck driver in Europe over America. And don't include Russia when you compare size. You know that's not gonna work. Miami FL to Fairbanks Alaska is almost 8000 kms in a straight line. Europe is overpopulated. You don't have the big roads and high speeds. A lot of the freight in North America goes on trains. Our trucks are not inferior. Definitely have more space inside.

@cowchick8130 Sorry we wear cowboy boots in America.
1
@bergr5 Thanks but no thanks. 18 gears manual is the best in USA.

@cgln8760 How much you get paid per mile average with your own truck?
1
@Andy_Novosad Then the 100% western trucks should have done even better. Let's see: Volvo 1 win Mercedes 1 win MAN 1 win IVECO 2 wins I don't know what to say. It doesn't add up.
1
@Andy_Novosad You think Putin is behind all this ? Damn! Should have sanctioned them back then.
1
@Andy_Novosad You got me wrong. I don't know anything about KAMAZ. I just google it. But if the European trucks are at the level of the European cars thanks but no thanks .
1
@serghei078 I think you are mistaking me for someone else. English please or Italian. I don't understand.
1
@jordez1 New trucks in America are already efficient. Up to 9mpg. Most of European trucks have 13L engines similar to the American. What's the difference?
1
@alexpervanoglu7420 I'm talking about a highway, not a Vuelta de Spania stage.
1
@alexpervanoglu7420 Trucking as a whole is much better in North America than in Europe. Vast open lands you can drive trough at 130kmh or more. Prairies, high Plains, mountains, ocean to ocean. You don't have this. No matter what kind of trucks you drive.
1
@akyhne Less population means a lot more open space. French Guiana is on a different continent. Florida and Alaska are on the same continent and yes there are loads that go from Florida to or other states to Alaska. You can't compare North America to Europe. Apples and oranges.
1
@alexpervanoglu7420 Yeah it's enough
1
@erikbicker1642 Because in America we are Low Riders.
