  1. Yes it would be a setback for Russia if Sweden and Finland join NATO. But it would only make a difference in a case of a conventional war between Russia and NATO. AND Russia will not fight a conventional big war again. It will be a limited nuclear war at first. So the European NATO countries will suffer the most, USA will be intact unless it becomes all out war.
