@upstar21t , certain parts of Mexico are actually quite safe.
14
@upstar21t , CJNG?! 😆😆 They wouldn't care for you unless you're wealthy and showing it or involved with certain things! And shows your ignorance about Mexico! That group only active in 1 part of the country!
10
@rafaelcastillo2636 , 3.5 yrs? USA was declining toward the mess since around 10 yrs ago, ever since Barack Obama in 2nd term thought gay marriage should be legal and also didn't fix the policing issues.
10
😄😄 Costa Rica is too overrated. Panama gotten expensive. Brazil, security issues in most of the country, rather choose Paraguay or Uruguay much better!
9
If Mexico opted out was perhaps to not be in any economic conflict with Canada & USA! Most of those foreign companies investing there are from the 2 countries.
8
Everyone?! Different circumstances!
5
Delusional?! 😆😆🤦🤦 1. Brazil will not have any currency or economy backed by gold nor can any other real country bcoz it's not practical! 2. Security remains a big issue for at least 85% or more of Brazil! Unless a govt improves security significantly its economy not gonna improve much and not much progress. 3. Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, Colombia, are much better choices, especially the first 2.
5
@fabiogoncalves9728 , it's sad that Brazil still has less safe towns/regions than even Colombia and Mexico. Maybe another 10 yrs before 40% of the country becomes safe?!
5
Fans of Korean culture and likers of Korean women/men.
4
@Learned333 , No, sorry, you're wrong, why? just look at state dept detailed map of Mexico with states that do have cartels & gangs issues, it's definitely most of Mexico in terms of how many states, it's around 80%+ of Mexican states that are at least somewhat affected, and maybe 70% of them are very affected still. If you have any actual info that proves otherwise do let us know. thanks.
4
@rahuliyer7456 , 😆😆 kidnapping for ransom are rare in USA and Europe, unlike in some of Mexico and many other parts of Latin America.
4
@billyhughes805 , so a fake passport?!
3
@Hh-yd3dj , so it's a fake?
3
@Adam-ie8ed , for what? property tax or to live there? and are those abandoned buildings actually worth investing in?
3
Japan is awesome, except most of it has frequent strong earthquakes. Are the abandoned homes worth investing in? quality okay?
3
@pitoblogg , are you talking about private health care in Greece, or the public one has actually improved a lot?! until 5-10 yrs ago health care in Turkiye and Bulgaria were higher quality than in Greece!
3
@Hh-yd3dj , the current govt has 90% approval rating and voted by 85% of the people, so they will continue to expect similar govts.
3
@Hh-yd3dj , they should make them do farm labor and mining. 😄😄👌👌
3
@DaviRenania , I'm saying hopefully it could with the right leader. Your belief that all of Latin America is similar to Brazil regarding safety it's false and proven, just look at Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, El Salvador, even parts of Colombia and Mexico are quite safe to very safe.
3
@TheOfficialLittleG Portuguese it's a fun language, the issue is the lack of safety in 90% of Brazil!
2
@lesterryanmd , 😆😆
2
@noaldolima , Please Stop Promoting Portugal, too many foreigners already there! or just stear them toward rural areas and small towns of the country at least.
2
@damienhall9814 , New Caledonia it's a a hidden gem! and Fiji. New Caledonia it's part of France by the way, it's France in Pacific region.
2
Morocco is good, Tunisia is better.
2
@richardnokes6752 , personally i would probably like to live there but only during the warm months. however i don't like the very lack of any real diversity there, but somehow mind that less about Japan maybe.
2
Chile relatively expensive and frequent natural disasters. Peru, not stable, frequent natural disasters.
2
Tejas. 😆😆
2
@ralphramirez1979 , Puerto Vallarta it's not away from troubled areas, unless the govt has already cleared the area around it and keeping a strong grip on things.
2
@carlorielmendez6505 , with the yen getting cheaper that means more value for less if you earn in dollars or euros for example, no? but are those abandoned properties in towns worth renovating and renting or selling? that's the question. me thinks I read somewhere some people were able to rent them out.
2
@ralphramirez1979 , 1 big issue with Chile, very frequently natural disasters, especially significant earthquakes! otherwise great place, but also kind of expensive.
2
@WolfF2022 , Nayib Bukele is Salvadorian, his parents where Palestinian christians.
2
@gugy68 , Uruguay cold?! when compared to tropical places maybe, but otherwise not really. Paraguay boring? compared to Brazil & Colombia maybe, but otherwise it has a certain exciting appeal of adventure & exoticity. Brazil too many security concerns nowadays, less safe than even parts of Colombia & Mexico, in fact the cartels probably have been transferring their business from Colombia to Brazil! It got safer for a while under Bolsonaro govt but seems the crime rates are back up now. Chile? expensive and frequent natural disasters! otherwise fine.
2
Interesting for a wait and see approach. could be worth it at some point.
2
@Learned333 , Venezuela has a lot of potential, if it ever gets the correct leadership.
2
@DaviRenania , well, maybe just a few in Brazil nowadays or mostly rural areas, correct? plus it seems that at least some of the drugs cartels may have moved their business away from Colombia to Brazil, therefore exacerbating the situation in Brazil.
2
@DaviRenania , I see, interesting, however the worry for the world isn't weed but hard drugs as cocaine & heroin, i don't believe most of those gangs & cartels are interested to export mostly or only weed, and weed is legal in some countries and regions of countries. In fact the plan of Colombia's current govt has been to legalize and allow export of cannabis legally to replace those of illegal cocaine which are done against permission of the govt, and hopeing that way to change the cartels and gangs into regular folks enterprises in a sort of way. 2nd plan is to possibly legalize and regulate use and sell of cocaine.
2
@Learned333 , Brazil could definitely be a top destination for expats and investments if it ever becomes safe enough and gets good leadership. It could take another 1-2 decades though, if ever.
1
@kevinvictor911 , Yes, but not the only region, and certainly currently Brazil is not a good choice overall.
1
@nicolelouis8968 , 😄😄 Why? I don't recall asking or mentioning whether it was expensive. Is it as expensive as in mainland France? or more/less? It was probably cheap in 1970s & 1980s there i would guess.
1
@nicolelouis8968 , if that's the case then better for folks to choose Fiji, Vanuatu, New Zealand, Palau, etc. even New Zealand would be cheaper.
1
Uruguay is much better generally!
1
@SEVENTHREEANDNINE tagine? what it means?
1
@John_Smith100 it's currently the safest country in the Americas!
1
@Hh-yd3dj , so only good for in South America. Why don't those that got such passports open a lawsuit against the govt or whoever are in charge of this b.s.?
1
@rogerdodger8415 so you think a big country as Mexico all of it is unsafe?! 🤦🤦😆😆
1
@rogerdodger8415 , definitely not only for the rich, you don't have the right info regarding the right areas to go to.
1
@glaszlo9694 , up to now only certain areas.
1
@New-bw4kz , Is it any better to live around drugs addicts and random shootings?! And who fuels the Narcos? aren't they fueled by the drugs and gangs cultures in USA & Canada? USA & Canada along with some western European countries are the biggest market for illegal drugs use.
1
@carlorielmendez6505 , to buy in towns i meant not in rural areas.
1
@CK-dx3zd , so perhaps only good to spend a few months each yr in. how are they doing with English language there?
1
@BigBrother04 , but maybe they can be repaired or some, no? only interested of the ones in towns, not in rural areas. but then if you rent them or sell them would they be worth it?
1
@carlorielmendez6505 , hey, i was inquiring regarding the abandoned properties in towns, not in rural areas.
1
@carlorielmendez6505 , yes, but kindly follow what i was asking. thanks.
1
@CK-dx3zd , I suppose would only live there some months every yr, if even that. certainly not more than 5-7 months per yr.
1
@DiandraStarShine , Indeed, thanks for the info.
1
@jugoslavnamljidjiu9021 How about prices in Montenegro? anywhere worth it there?
1
@miskomarovich1437 , I don't need to do too many things, it may just happen to be a very nice place for me.
1
@pitoblogg , I used to live there and have cousins living there.
1
??
1
@snoopybluejeans , the chances of that happening in a place as El Salvador are slim to none, bcoz 90% of the people really like & approve what the current govt is doing there, and it was voted by 85% of the people! So i don't see a scenario in the foreseeable future of something as that actually happening there, certainly it wouldn't have success since the vast majority of the people wouldn't take that lightly.
1
@gugy68 , depends regarding what things each person is looking for, yes Uruguay is generally better than Paraguay, but Paraguay it's more exotic and maybe less taxes and it gives you a real passport unlike the fake one they give you in Uruguay! southern Brazil it's still not safe enough in general, unless you live in certain enclosed well guarded areas or small towns, and most people don't know much english yet.
1
@gugy68 , how is safety in those parts of Brazil you mention? and level of English? though frankly i see any place further south than northern Brazil or Paraguay as too far away from North America and Europe.
1
@freedomfirst3779 , good point! however Crimea was very popular as a tourist destination with people from the region, i don't know about Odessa though, on the other hand warm weather only lasts 3-4 months in Ukraine, so perhaps only if can find deals in Kiev and any other main city that has popularity most of the year.
1
@victorbjorklund , would Odessa or Lviv be better to invest in? Did any of them get plenty of visitors and renters before the war?
1
@DaviRenania , hmm, i see. but why drugs trafficking through Bolivia and Paraguay and not through northern border with Colombia and Venezuela? or also there too?
1
@vioreliachim5646 , it certainly was getting safer in Brazil under Bolsonaro govt, but he had a few conspiracy theories and didn't care enough to protect the Amazon forest.
1
@rahuliyer7456 , maybe, but generally speaking they are rare when comparing country to country or region to region.
1
Experts say Mexico actually needs those a.s.a.p. in order to deal with defeating the security issues and other issues.
1
@Learned333 , oh, really?! then how else do you actually propose the Mexican govt can dry up the illegal funds that feed cartels and gangs?! unless a certain hardcore govt as in El Salvador takes over the country maybe, but that govt would still need to dry up illegal funds to really succeed! Or Mexico whether with USA or not may need to legalize and fully regulate certain illegal drugs and steer away cartels and gangs toward legitimate routes.
