De-dollarization may take many yrs or up to a few decades, plus do most countries really want to trust China & Russia or India for using their funds and for straightening out matters with all their manipulations/corruptions/unfairness within their systems?! It may just end up that BRICS make a trading currency for their willing partners while all or most of the West and its supporters continue to use the dollar along with maybe the euro or pound.

  12.  @billpetersen298  , indeed there is some kind of corruption culture in China and much of Asia and most countries of the world, the West has the least corruption & scams and fairest system, but much of it suffers from over-liberalism nowadays and not taking serious hard steps against even violent criminality, with exception to some of the Western countries. If you think the corruption and scams were bad in China they are 10x worse in India, in Russia less than in India but similar level to China more or less.

  14. ​ @andrewzanas9387  , 14 yrs ago i would have agreed with you about China about manufacturing but not even then about research & development much, which mostly they have copied/stolen, but nowadays it's yrs in the making that most western companies have been moving away from China toward India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Mexico, etc, was getting very aggressive with territorial claims against Vietnam and Philippines and about Taiwan, and the govt in China turned more repressive instead of more reformist after the last change of leadership, after Mr. Hu Jin Tao was gone.

  19. If it worked they would have done it, there are reasons why no known country relies on gold to backup any currency to do certain economics etc.

This is something to kind of be afraid about and prepare really, bcoz once most main powerful economies stop buying petrol with USA dollars and also other stuff such as silver and gold etc, that could tank the USA dollar and the USA economy by as much as 40%-70% or so, lowering the country from currently high income level to some kind of upper middle income level, however that could take 7-15 yrs or so.
