As supposed to lack of actual strong laws & order?! Plenty of multiculturalism & diversity in UAE, Qatar, Saudia, Kuwait, Singapore, Brunei, yet all have very low crime rates, some basically zero!! Why? Bcoz they have strong proper laws and implement them!!

@joefell7845 , facts speak for themselves, all countries with multiculturalism & plenty of diversity that are safe to very safe have strong laws & implementations of them! That supposed study either didn't study enough countries or only/mostly took into acct western countries, which most lack the strong laws needed & implementations of them bcoz of their politicians and the general liberal to very liberal attitudes of the people there! Here's another thing, even poor & relatively poor countries with proper strong laws & implementations manage to stay safe to very safe including the ones with plenty of diversity, look at El Salvador what it has achieved, look at Uzbekistan, etc.

Rampant crime wave in NYC?! where in the Bronx? Harlem? bcoz certainly not much crime at all in Manhattan & Brooklyn, in fact it has gotten much safer it seems.

hmm, maybe you talking about the usual bad parts of NYC, i suggest you go checkout Manhattan & Brooklyn, not much crime at all nowadays there, it seems much safer than before.
