  1. Huh? How do you figure that will ever happen? How far outside and away from the Milky Way would you have to be to take a picture where you can see the milky way, in its entirety? 1 million light years away? Milky way is about 100,000 light years across.

  3. Comes to mind, a scene from the Miniseries "Rome",. I think it was, where 2 Roman guys were outdoors at night, looking up at the stars. One asks the other "I wonder what they are?". Back then they basically knew nothing.
