If you have to pay a lot more for electricity and gasoline and such then you have no money to go out to dinner to buy clothing to travel to go to movies and shows so those businesses suffer and go out of business. Around here in Boston so many businesses, particularly restaurants and bars have gone out of business. but a lot of that had to do with the virus

  2.  @unconventionalideas5683  There is no labor shortage. one of the main problem is that so many people are satisfied with being on government welfare and subsistence and unemployment. They make more money from the government with welfare and earning cash money other ways, most often illegal ways, than they would make working. So they don't work. And that includes people working as cooks and bartenders and waiters and waitresses in restaurants. As well as other jobs and businesses and industries. Why work if you make just as much or more staying home? So you can thank all your liberal politicians for that. How many teenagers work, P/T while in school, F/T during Summer.? Very few these days. I did. Here on Cape Cod, for past several Summers, many business had to go out of business or be open limited hours. Cuz they couldnt get ANYBODY to work. Many had to ship in peoole from Ireland and other places. I know one restaurant that I like to go to, they are closing the doors at 7:30pm.

  5. The initial quoted statement above is just ludicrous at the outset. Dang! You have to love the leftist, liberal, Socialist, Marxist, Governmental Bureaucratic mind!!! Just watch the British TV Shows "Yes, Minister" and "Yes, Prime Minister" to get insight into the mindset of the British Government and Politics. How is cutting taxes for the rich (not that that is going to happen nor that the rich pay that much in taxes in the first place that they need a tax cut. They know all the loopholes to avoid paying taxes)..... going to stimulate the economy? What was the great Socialist Economic Theory and Principal of what's his name? A dollar in the Govt's hand is worth more and does more than a dollar in Private hands. Who was that? John Maynard Keynes (spellling???)?
