Ukraine is a sovereign nation and it has the right to join whatever alliance it wants to join simple......Canada is a sovereign nation and can associate with whoever it wishes to associate with too......If you want your neighbors to be your friend then treat them properly......Why break up with your girlfriend and be upset because she wants to date another guy?........ Russia has no moral justification to invade Ukraine and invading Ukraine will be a very costly mistake by Russia...... Russia will fail just like Germany of WW2 because from history any nation that invades first always lose......You can't spend half your finance and military power to invade a country because you still have to hold unto your new conquered territory......That's exactly where NATO comes in...... Ukraine will fight to exaust Russia before it bows then NATO Will move in to retake Ukraine from a tired Russia just like WW2 Germany.......But like WW2 Germany Russia will have to pay a price for starting the war......... Russia will lose its regional power and be broken down further..... Putin should be wise to mentain the status quo.
