Did the US run away from Iwo Jima? Did it run away after Pearl Harbor? Your recollection of the Korean War is faulty, the Incheon landings saved South Korea from communist aggression.

@nightdipper5178 yes, saved South Korea, on 25 June 1950 North Korea invaded South Korea. At the end of WW2 Korea had been divided into the Soviet administered north and US administered south along the 38th parallel. When the Cold War developed that administrative division turned into two Korea's. The invasion of the South by the North nearly got to Seoul, but was stopped by the US amphibious landings at Incheon, those landing cut the invading Chinese and North Korean supply lines, forcing a withdrawl. If the South had lost all 80 million Korean's would now be living in the poverty and oppression that exists in the North.

@miguelzeballos4269 "despise the US" is the primary reason Putin fan boys support Putin's aggression. None of the excuses offered by Russian propaganda hold up to critical thought.
