You're funny, the GMLRS rocket that himars fires is far less expensive than the missiles Buk is firing to intercept them. $168,000 per M31 GMLRS rocket, the Buk missile costs about $500,000 and they're firing 2 to intercept 1 GMLRS.

@hicm1of12 I think your figure of hundreds of pac-3 missiles being fired is way off, the pac-3 is specialized to intercept high velocity missiles on a ballistic trajectory, they're just not suitable for low altitude cruise missiles and drones, the iris-t and Gepard and similar systems are the defensive platforms they'll be using for those, pac-3 would, I expect, be saved for iskander, S300, S400 and kinzhal.

@rodiculous9464 when Wagner first became involved in the battle for Bakhmut they were fighting on an 80km wide front, over the last few months their numbers have been so depleted that in the last weeks all they were fighting was a front 5km wide, with the rest of the fighting around Bakhmut being put in the hands of Russian regular and "elite" forces. Pregozhin has confirmed the huge loses Wagner has suffered. While Wagner continued to go forward in Bakhmut the other Russian forces have been losing ground on the flanks around the city. Wagner is the ONLY unit on the Russian side that's been moving forward for many months.

@hicm1of124 you state Russian propaganda as fact, there's no evidence available to support that propaganda and that propaganda is contrary to claims by US officials. So basically your claim has no informational value.

@SamsungS-or1qf McGregor never provides evidence to support his claims and his predictions of an imminent Russian victory and Ukraine military collapse that he's made since February last year have been proven wrong every time. It's bizarre that some people continue to have any faith in his claims. But that's how desperate ideologues think, they're unable to question the narrative they're desperate to believe, a complete inability to apply critical thought. If Ukraine launch a successful counter offensive in the next few days, taking many thousands of square kilometers of their territory back from Russia, McGregor will again have been proven wrong. If that happens will the ideologues enamored by his claims abandon him? Nope, they'll continue to believe what they're desperate to believe.
