  7. @Raps  the aircraft designated to carry the B61 free fall nuclear bombs in Europe are Belgian, Dutch and Turkish F16's and Italian and German Tornados, so yes, it's the host countries that ultimately decide on their use.

  8. @Raps  I'll also point our that all of the bases housing B61's are over 2,000km from Moscow and that the F16's and Tornados could not make such a journey in less than 2 hrs as that distance would require traveling at subsonic speed. The F16's would be all but out of fuel by the time they got to Moscow. This means that the B61 is little more than symbolic as a deterrent to a Russian nuclear attack, they wouldn't get off the ground before those aircraft and bases were destroyed by Russian IRBM's

  9.  @giggleparadise  as I said, the host nations aircraft would carry those bombs if they were to be used, so while they are under US control in peace time (as is required with the nuclear nonproliferation treaty) in the event of war that treaty is scrapped and those bombs are attached to the aircraft of the host nation's.
