And are these balls organic??? Will they break down to natural earth friendly elements in time? Have a one in a million chance of causing cancer? Mark, I'm thinking some people have dropped the ball here.

@HamzaKhan-ky1mt Anyone know more than I do and can comment on the yellow and black algaes that thrive in cooler dark places - and are hallucinogenic and poisonous?

@MysMystery13 I'm not a water expert so a little out of my depth, but they say helps against algae. They must be talking green algae, because the yellow and black varieties commonly among carpenters called "cold water algaes" just love cooler dark places. And they're both poisonous.

@Beornegard You should run that theory by the people re-building the Notre Dame Cathedral. Obviously the wood that held it together for 500 years proves nothing to you, and steel does not rust if you bother to keep it painted - but wait, you said metal... Gold never degrades without help. I believe platinum, rhodium, and titanium are plenty stable too. Now show me something plastic that has lasted for a mere 50 years. Because it does dry out and it is affected by the sun's ultraviolet light temperatures. Plastic is an unstable matrix.
