It's an old story. Someone spends years perfecting a song, book, invention, releases it hoping to make a few $. That someone doesn't have much of an audience because they're busy working at their art instead of popularity. Within 4 hours someone with a big audience steals it, makes more money from it than it's creator would have dreamed.

If you're a dem, everything is okay if you tell the judge you're sorry.

@RealHomeRecording < No title? No link? You know, I'm not the biggest Beato fan in the world, but when you accuse someone you need to back it up, son.

@RealHomeRecording < I'd like to verify that. Please show the title of the said "interpolated" film Rick appropriated as you claim, so we can search it up and see for our ownselves.

@nonsequitor < A thief defending thieves "fffs". Hahvahd grad?

Luke.... Use the force. I'm serious, just FEEL IT.

Overheard at an aged woman's funeral: "Hey maaan, sorry about your Mom. So DUDE!, what's your new address?"

So as if Napster and YouTube hadn't already destroyed writers and musicians, AI will be the final nail.

Trivia: Teac made the first four track cassette recorder in 1979.

Umm, Steve, love ya Babe, but some people have complained that CD Baby assumed the rights of your music for themselves on the YouTube - in YOUR best interest of course. Please check this from your brilliant view for accuracy, as I don't know enough to be sure.

So I guess writing ANYthing in the 8 or 12 bar Blues is shot. And I will add for no particular reason, to accomplish anything you want to do, "First, put down the control pad..."

They told me "make hundreds of films about anything", then I looked around and noticed there's nothing to sing

@brianzembruski5485 That's dem socialist sanctioned "redistribution of wealth". Someone was rich enough to have a car - you weren't - so you had every RIGHT to take his, balance the score.

Maybe in our next life, assuming we decide to make another round :)

I can hear music in my head, even multi player pieces - but I'd be terrified I'd written something NOT the way I "hear" it if I couldn't actually hear it played back!

Nothing did ever happen, you could go upstairs for ice cream and not miss a thing. But we all watched it anyway. Maybe for the music.

Quantizing was done (very limited) and duplicating a good chorus take, in the days of splicing tape and ping-ponging tracks. Computers just made it super easy for lazy producers who paid to hear a 10 year outdated professor tell them they know more about music than ones who pack their gear on the road and actually play. But hey - they know how to call a work of art album a unit...

Wait.... As James Cameron has proven twice! with Avatar, and Rick said himself - How do we it's Rick?!?

I think the writer of the song in Spanish grew up listening to the Beatles. Not that they stole or borrowed anything, it just has a similar feel with the odd minor chord tossed in where you don't expect it.
1
That tears it - I'm going to copyright the A D E chord pattern, and the 12 bar blues. Before I get sued for using them. Yeah, things have gotten a little nuts. Which beats everyone napstering everything. I think....

It's about time you stopped gabbing on YouTube to do what you do best, USE that knowledge and beautiful gear! (Sorry, couldn't resist - I have an odd sense of humour)

Thanx for bringing to light that chorus parts used to speed up a hair (energize would be the current term). So much great music came from the 70's, and our recorder decks were simply tape, faders, and knobs. We just played. To all young musicians - try ignoring the beats, bars, metronome, and quantizing, and see how you sound.
