  1. ​ @Sarge Savage < I have a good comparison - was a young adult in the '70s, so I've lived and had a shop before the web, and the same after. I'm not suffering youthful nostalgia, it's just that a bunch of backyard mechanics working on a car, or a family cabinetshop working together til midnight to get a job done was a helluva lot more fun than any chatroom, or vegging away with youtubes. Yes, I'm on here - only place for me to get news and weather, since I hate the commercials on TV, and the commercials on here have gotten even sicker, I really don't want to hear about "toxic poop" and some moron's "poor dried out balls". That's another thing the FCC handled in the '70s, at least a LITTLE bit of broadcasting class. And foreign enemies were not allowed to influence American youth into hating themselves.

  2. ​ @Sarge Savage < Never had FB, I prefer real friends and a real life is a lot more fun than anything virtual. The latest craze is anxiety / depression, people almost seem proud of it, or they like to whine. Comes from living online.

  4. @Pythagorean Cult Nice to meet you. I was in one of those "experimental" genius classes, which I think no longer exist because some candy-asses might "feelsbadman" it they weren't eligible. Hey, just wrote this, some humor for you: No longer wanting to be used as an example of the DemoCULT, Karl the Kettle now identifies as a toaster. In a private interview, he told me how much he is enjoying his new freedom of expression, is considering expanding to also be able to warm bagels, and asked to be called Carla.
