I think it was a '50s Cuban phrase, along with "Illegitimi non carborundum" which is now being called by google mock-Latin, anyway it meant "Don't let the bastards grind you down."

@ChalkyHonky Actually I don't think that, although many of them are. I wrote that in answer to his "Boomers were too stoned to catch the politicians tricksies", and I am a boomer, but was never on drugs, and know exactly what's going on. I can't tell if you and me agree on stuff, but anyone who will fight back to hold what they believe in has my respect.
