I've worked some as a troubleshooter, which means going in as a worker like anyone else, watching, listening, and then one day firing the thief (almost every workplace has one), and then talking to whoever else you might be able to turn around - or get rid of. What you call a bad attitude is simple reality. I'm a lapidary for my actual career, retired, and I chose a hermit type job so I wouldn't have to babysit. But continued to help friends of mine who had shops, restaurants, construction crews, when they had something else they needed to do or took a week off. I'm not an inexperienced flake listening to some "prof", I'm 45 years of been there live and in person. And I'm not too frightened of the politically correct POlice to state the truth.
