  5. The Kerch bridge is the longest bridge in Europe. It was completed in 3 years, very impressive by Russian standard, and cost $3.7 billion. This bridge fuels opposition to Ukraine in Crimea, became a transport hub for the offensive at the start of the war, and today it fuels the Kherson defense. With the bridge destroyed, the already strained Russian logistics in the Kherson front would be significantly reduced and the front would collapse even faster. So, is it enough to be a "sign of power" for you?

  8. What's the point of strengthening bond with a state that probably will not exist in 10 years? If Xi died today, China will still exist. Putin is the only one keeping Russia together by keeping everyone under him. Imagine if he's gone.

  10. ​ @Abelka252  Then Russia will invade someplace else, threaten nukes, and get what it wants, invade another place, threaten with nukes, and repeat. Georgia and Romania is probably next on the list. And that is how appeasement works. When your neighbor gets invaded and you capitulated, you will get temporary peace. When your country gets invaded, there will be nobody left to help you.
