They implement mixed economy and not becomes so closed like North Korea, which is absolutely fantastic as they become great business partner for everyone. That's kinda unexpected to be honest.

  5.  @wakakabravo7998  Every battle in Vietnam leads to higher Vietnamese casualties. After several battles, the Paris agreement was signed, to cease fire between the two Vietnams and then the US withdrew due to pressure from congress, abandoning any promises to help South Vietnam. But after they left, NVA attacked and conquered Saigon.

  7.  @wakakabravo7998  Perhaps it's the bad wording i use. The US won almost all major battle, Paris agreement decides to split Vietnam to 2 like Korea today. But the US left and did not protect South Vietnam, breaking their promise. Then North Vietnam attacked, breaking their ceasefire and agreement and conquered the weakened South Vietnam. I already explained why the US withdrew, dont ask the same questions.

  8.  @wakakabravo7998  Ah sorry i didnt notice that point earlier. Not only on casualty side, when i said won the war that means they won every battle, whatever what you mean by win. The Paris agreement supposedly is the end. The fact that they managed to keep NVA from taking Saigon is the prove that they win back in 1973. However the US did not stay and immediately leave because the US congress told them to, that way South Vietnam lost when the NVA attacked in 1975.

  10.  @wakakabravo7998  I didnt see why you said they failed even beforeParis accords. The NVA had 2 years to prepare for invading South Vietnam. With remaining US force, they could have repelled NVA invasion. If Korea gets the same treatment as Vietnam, they would also be invaded and conquered by the North in around late 1950s- early 1960s

  17. You forgot the fact that the US wins Vietnam, and the victory was settled in 1973, Paris accords. Then the US withdrew from Vietnam, the North attacks the weaken South, and conquered it in 1975. The US withdrew due to hippy protests and other opposition in the US mainland. So technically, the US wins the war, but lost politically.

  18.  @doug6500  Im not trying to say they won. Im saying that the US could have won, Saigon could not have fallen by not leaving South Vietnam alone. South Vietnam with US base would be like Japan or South Korea.
