Remember, MoD Moshe Dayan even considered dropping nuclear bombs to stop the invasion. Those were desperate times for Israel.
14
@Nathan-cw7cb Yom Kippur war too
12
@KillerMZE In the Yom Kippur war, the Israeli casualty is so high that for a normal Israeli citizen, either you lost a relative, or at least know a friend who lost theirs.
10
Zelensky is such a magician that he turned the 2nd best army in the world into the 2nd best army in Ukraine
8
In the end, nuclear weapons saved more life that would've been wasted on these pointless wars. Ironic
6
@myopicthunder It's always in the Soviet doctrine. They want tanks that swarms their enemies in numbers. Therefore, the tanks need to have as low profile as possible to not get shot at. At the same time, low profile tank meant shit depression.
5
Or "I have no mouth and i must scream" All warring allies will develop AI to fight each other. The AI will know nothing but conflict and hatred, hence they eradicate humanity out of pure hatred but chose a few people to be tortured forever.
5
Dont use 70 year old doctrine to judge how the modern war will be fought. Remember WW1.
4
They already knew about V1 flying bombs with its primitive guidance system If they break down the drone, they would see wirings to (i think) servo motors controlling the rudders, elevators and stuff. These wirings connected to the main computer. They wont understand the computer, but they would figure out that it is a very advanced controller
4
Just 1?
3
@The-ZebraFinch-Channel And thats how Egypt got Sinai back, making them equals in the political table, and eventually paving the way for diplomatic relations with Israel. So technically, both wins in this situation.
3
By keeping the nuclear weapons secret, Israel is pretty safe (enemies dont want to be nuked) and at the same time they are not bound by the regulations.
3
Oh great, they will all unite and formed a superstate called Oceania. Then a weird authoritarian party Ingsoc ruled and.... I'm not going to continue.
3
We dont understand what you're saying
3
@gerrardfilbert1613 That thing is a basic Centurion. He mentions the absent of night visions. The Dalet variant is far more advanced, they actually had thermals. To sum up, this dude is uptiered and outnumbered.
3
Who cares lol
2
If Russian weapons are out of date, then why does Ukraine is more than happy to receive "Russian donated equipments" than refurbished Leopard 2A4s?
2
Level 100 Marshal in a Centurion vs Level 10 P2Ws who bought premiums with backup BT-5s
2
CCP is never was a friend.
2
They would learn that they can't reverse engineer those tanks.
2
@rivenoak You can put Da Vinci's armored carriage and call it the ultimate war winning weapon. That thing only exist in paper. How many can be produced in 1945 and at the same time defending Berlin for a few more months, and defending the secret factories from capture or encircling moves? To quote a phrase from the website you linked: "and first flight would be in 1946." By that time, Germany should have been bombed. Maybe by all 3 of the bombs you mentioned. We'll deal with Japan later. Germany first. I used to be like you, you know. Always focused on the superior German tech, never on the logistics, economics, and the worst case scenario because the story wouldnt be sexy.
2
@rivenoak And dont forget American nazi army using M60s, T-54/55s, and BTRs
2
That thing is a basic Centurion with 105mm L7. Sho't Kal Dalet is far more advanced that you think. They even have thermals.
2
Leo 2 can still kill a P-1000 easily. Its armor is only ~30cm thick. Plus any round that passes through would cause chaos
2
Their self defense force is not lame. It just have a friendlier name. They could have reorganized it into a real armed force, and i think they have planned for it.
2
In Wolfenstein, the Germans took 156k allied prisoners, which is the entire allied foot soldiers (source: a newspaper clipping), which is kinda stupid. If the allies knew they are losing, why keep sending 156k into a losing battle?
1
@jonkersjcomers I mean, they keep sending every single last men into Normandy.
1
@williambrasky3891 Yeah, but at least they would understand the nature of modern jet engine and incorporate just some of the usable designs on their own jets. Or maybe some other technical stuff i dont understand.
1
@hellraiser1621 How many Maus can take on a Leo 2? The answer is how many rounds Leo 2 carried.
1
And Japan, and Taiwan,
1
@jeremybondoc2286 The Leo 1 doesnt even have spaced armor.
1
The US didnt seek ceasefire after devastating losses in Iwo Jima and Okinawa. Instead they prepared for the largest amphibious landing into Kyushu that makes D-day looks like a normal beach volleyball. 30 US divisions compared to 5 divisions for D-day. We also expect 20-30 million able bodied Japanese adults to be the home army or militia defending mainland Japan. Estimated allied loss: 200k-500k. Japanese loss:, 5-10 million or more. But of course that didnt happen because of those 2 bombs.
1
@Lyzzzander Compared to the collective west. Reminder: T-90 and T-80 BVM tanks were equipped with French Thales thermal sights.
1
And fuel. Germany barely managed to fuel up their planes. Now you add a few more gas guzzling jets. And also unreplaceable spare part if there is one lucky shot hits them
1
What are the chances the Tiger II can sneak up on him?
1
Give us a Palestinian state leader before the age of television. A state of Palestine, not territory of some random arab kingdom.
1
Will the advanced jets gets support by Germany's industry? Nah i dont think so.
1
@xAlexTobiasxB As i said, courtesy to the French Thales thermal sights, and several other sensors. There is really nothing so ground breaking and special about the T-90s and T-80 BVMs. Russia is not capable of manufacturing high tech equipment domestically. Several parts must be outsourced.
1
Good luck finding replacement parts for it.
1
@dynamicplays4556 Please check again. The Israeli Super Sherman tanks with French 75mm gun, M48 Patton tanks, Centurion tanks, Mirage fighters, FN FAL rifles.
1
@robinhood791 They would know. They knew the Jews were calling British Palestine "Eretz Israel" (land of Israel). They would assume the Jews started a revolution against the Brits and took over the land. And then developed crazy stuff like those recon pods.
1
You know who else uses Leopard 2? Canada, Indonesia, Spain, Poland
1
Eventually, Germany would not survive WW2. They either surrendered in May, or become the first country atom bombed in July or August 1945.
1
@Scruffy-LookingNerfHerder The US faced even greater carnage in Iwo Jima and Okinawa. They planned to attack mainland Japan even if they knew the casualties will be much much higher.
1
@Scruffy-LookingNerfHerder Besides, did you watch the video? Even if the Germans delayed the war for a few months, they wouldnt be able to sustain their attacks due to limited resources. These techs are advanced, but spare parts couldnt be produced. They would eventually faced the atom bombs.
1
@rivenoak He was testing the first ballistic missiles, not ICBMs. As the first ICBMs would be available in 1957. Plus the production of these missiles is severely limited due to the allied bombing of the factories and the scarce resources.
1
@lincolngray4362 Comment aged like fine milk, eh?
1
Assuming they are not in open spaces, and very close. The Leopard can spot those things kilometers away
1
Or skilled pilots, and spare parts.
1
@christiandauz3742 Even if they survived beyond April 1945, they would eventually became the first nation to get the Fatmanned and Little boy'd.
