The second bomb is deployed in the same day as soviet declares war on japan. soviet war declaration on japan caused 180.000 kills While the nuking of japan caused est: 129.000 people. Imagine if the invasion of japan happened? There would be more japanese casualties and thousands more allied executions if the japanese didnt surrender.  Now, if the japanese invasion occured, how many more people killed in japan? Both japanese and american guys? There would be more guys dead in invasion of japan. So, bombing of japan is the least worst way to end the war.
