  1. I dont know what would happen if an infantry rifle fired a DU round. But would friction between barrel and the much harder DU bullet wear out the barrel even faster? Plus tanks fired subcaliber APFSDS shells. The APFSDS itself is large, long, and very dense. If we used subcaliber DU bullet for rifles, would it be much more effective than a standard lead with a huge margin?
