His target country's take Trump's initial threats seriously and are planning accordingly, ie. by seeking alternative, often more profitable, markets for their exports. When the kerfuffle is over Canada and Mexico will not offer the USA the same, generous, terms it already had.

  12. YouGov is not a reliable source when it comes to politics. It was founded by two supporters of the UK Conservative Party. One of whom is still its Chairman. While the other, Nadhim Zahawi, became a Tory MP and government minister. It has long been suspected that YouGov designs its surveys, and presents the results, in ways that favour the Right.
