@birdlover6842 At least Portland has a GDP of $224billion. The entire state of MS has a GDP of $104billion

@maryholmes3980 MS is not known for excellent healthcare.

@Mountainrock70 MS ranks at the bottom of most quality of life metrics: poverty, obesity, education healthcare, life expectancy. Thats why poor rural states are still losing population, despite cheap cost of living. Life is short...

@maryholmes3980 Habla Español? Mexico is cheaper than the US.
3
@Mountainrock70 I would never move to a low growth city. It means no jobs, and other reasons that the place sucks to live there.

@peterw.kocsis2520 Id rather live in Mexico than in Jackson.

Typical US southern city.
2
@Jaxxon123 The vid, Top 10 Poorest US states are all in Dixieland.
2
@Jaxxon123 Most of the poorest cities are in the southern states. At least northern states don't honor the Confederacy, and pay a minimum wage of at least $15/hour. NJ is ugly, but has the highest average income. NYC has a higher GDP th as n most countries.

Ignorance is bliss

@Mountainrock70 Prefer a big city to a trailerpark.

@Mountainrock70 What is the population growth???

Same reason why residents remain in WV, or Flint, MI. I relocate frequently, and travel to explore the world.

@Jaxxon123 douther states: High obesity, high poverty, poor education ranking, poor healthcare, poor infrastructure, low life expectancy.
1
@Jaxxon123 Fine for you. I've lived all over the US. My favorite cities were Las Vegas, and Minneapolis. No interest in rural culture.
1
@Jaxxon123 Have they fixed the sewage in drinking water yet? One Whole Foods in the entire state. At the bottom in education, healthcare, poverty, and life expectancy.
