  1. NATO perspective. Modern wars are no longer fought by massed Western armies over open terrain. Most of the global population is in urban megaslums, so Ukraine, and Gaza are the future-- infantry, artillery (tactical nukes), and guided missiles supporting drones, unmanned ground vehicles. The US military is struggling to recruit, with 70% of youth unfit, fat, druggies, with low literacy, rap sheets and lots of tattoos.
