  2. ​ @TheBanana93  Working in a field was quite different than modern 9-5. The dynamic of peasant-lord relations was different than worker-employer. Also many peasants were free.

  4. This whole comment is one big "survivorship bias". Most people's lives will be extremely mediocare and lackluster. Tell me now about all those people that tried and failed. Our socio-economic system would literally stopped working if every person could achieve his/her dreams. And purpose and meaning all just delusions at the end of the day.
