China started the tariff war about 20 years ago when it started putting tariffs, shelf-taxes and all kinds of 'national security' barriers against the USA. The USA took a very very long time to actually fire back so I don't know if you can call it a trade war when it was just China 'shooting' and the US doing nothing. finally, around Trump1.0 the USA started to engage the attacker.

@Max-f3f2l Yes, sometimes Trump breaks into New York Business guy from his era. that's an expression for how they'll be asking for deals. I find it hard to believe Chinese care about that kind of rude language. Who told you they don't like rudeness at all?

@Max-f3f2l Yes and that's rich humor from the people who started the tariff war wih the USA, act as if they are little emperors insulted by the lack of 'tribute' being brought to them, then carry on abou thow they will 'punish' the USA if it dares retaliate. (really take that in, they start putting tarrif and then warn they wil 'punish the USA' fo rdaring to counter tarrif), this is a regime that has found ways to cheat, scam, delay (so... just not do)) nearly 100% of any agreements. The stunning arrogance from this .. this is China, the country the USA lifted out of Japanese invasion and then recently lifeted 800 million of them out of extreme poverty and now these arrogant peasants are talking as if they aren't the most criminal traders on the planet but little gods warning the USA they will not allow such insolence.
