But Trump DID say he was aware it's not even clear if Greenland belongs to Denmark or not. You say 'He didn't understand' but he DOES understand that. He says so in the same speech you're criticizing. He is aware of the vague, ambiguous, yes-but-no nature of Greenland and Denmark. So, what you can expect is he will rescind his offer to pay Denmark anything. As for Greenland voting? I'd strongly suggest to you the majority will vote to join the USA as soon as possible and it's going to be difficult for Denmark to say a single word after touting they are 'independent' and don't even belong to Denmark anyway and all the talk about how Denmark supports their right to freely choose their own desires etc.
