Underestimating Chinese talent is always the way to be more accurate. For example, you can be sure it cost far FAR more than 6 million USD to make this and you your point about high-end chips.. ...you can 'overestimate' the number of high-end chips needed to make this Chinese 'OpenAi' clone. Way wayyyy more than China's estimate. When you do that - underestimate Mainland China in nearly anything they tell you, you will be the most correct. and yes I like your story about how China didn't actually lose something but TURNED IT AROUND and now the Americans learned a lesson getting beaten by the godlike Chinese minds etc etc, however, You will always be closer to the truth by UNDERestimating anything you are told about China and it's people and performance. You will be prove right more often than wrong.

Just to reveiew: You believe its a big thing where US Citizens don't stop complaining about other countries education systems? The dumbest of this. really.

Well yes, they will soon learn how many high-end chips China used and even how much of it was just cloned and reverse engineered from hacks of other free and paid AIs.

@Sonofsun. nope, there isn't really such a thing as a 'private company' in the Peoples Republic of China. All companies are owned by the PLA as administered by the CCP. What they call 'private' is just necessary for integrating with free market systems. This is why China is sometimes called a 'Capitalist Dictatorship'. Everything about this is made by, instructed to happen, managed and done by the Chinese government. Its funded by the government, its supplied, directed and approved by the government.

@moisesgoncalves3019 I'm not a money guy but even I understand what a LOT of people online misunderstand. When they say '500 billion' this isn't actually telling you what they are spending on their AI model at the moment. This is like a bunch of people betting that over the years and decades, this or that AI company is going to be more valuable and so they put their money down. I'm not into this world of stocks etc, yet, even I know this. half the internet obviously does NOT and thinks "one guy built a model for 500 billion! another for only 6 million wtf?! No. 500 billion is something like 'available'. btw, almost everyone seems to agree tech bubbles need to get deflated so at least some correction seems to be a good thing.

@OneBiasedOpinion you invented these nasty people who wanted him to give a negative response so you can really hate them and what they do. That was from your own imagination. Think about that.

@verumverba5711 Ok but at the moment the USA is massively wealthy and the center of high-tech and on the way with massive capital to more and more.
