All those Hong Kongers — just what has been Britain’s involvement in China since the Opium Wars? Even more startling, the south Asians which may be the largest and most visible component of British society. Modern Britain is what it is because of British colonialism and the adulation of finance and financiers. The middle and lower classes suffer, but this is nothing new if anyone has bothered to read a bit of Dickens.
