Anyone who’s ever been to both China and Taiwan….the latter is clearly provincial.

@AB_123_AB I’ve been and I’m confident I had many more high level meetings in finance than you can ever aspire to. But it’s interesting to see the familiar provincial “chip on the shoulder” attitude has not changed much.

@一个说话大声的中国人 much clearer, thanks. As someone who worked in A&E for some time, this is quite true. The great American achievements of the 30s, Tennessee Valley Authority, Hoover Dam and the masterpiece the Golden Gate Bridge — just a memory. But the past can be an inspiration which the Chinese understand best of all.
