@siamcharm7904 mostly untrue. You’ve never lived in the states or the west. A Chinese does not need to buy a Tesla. An American household could not easily survive without Chinese products.

@PhuaTeckHoe meaningless statement. Did you listen to Ben explain how China’s per capita gdp in 1980 was equal to Haiti and Honduras…some of the poorest countries in the world. So the economic development since then has taken place over 40 years.

@PhuaTeckHoe and your point is just what? Ben is discussing the present day sovereignty of China which entails an extraordinary and prioritized policy of economic independence. What does this have to do with the 5000 year history? Or have you failed to listen and understand?

@PhuaTeckHoe it’s common courtesy for comments to stay on topic. You seem to feel you have special expertise in the “5000 years of Chinese civilization” (though you’ve not provided any evidence that you have such expertise) — why not make your own video? Why hijack a very serious discussion by Ben by going off topic on an irrelevancy? You seem to have an animus against the US which is not based on anything rational, and I strongly suspect that you’re not Chinese, as that is not the Chinese way as I’ve seen it. Do you think everyone who disagrees with you or your “contributions” is a “moderator”? Ben is talking about what China has done to build a sovereign state in the last years. Your comment is off topic and makes no contribution to the lengthy and meaningful video which Ben has provided us with.

@siamcharm7904 you’re a source of disinformation. Official US trade statistics for 2022 show China exported $536.8 B of goods to the US and imported $ 154.0 B. This resulted in a trade deficit of about $ 382 B. Why are you spreading false information on YouTube?
