  3. I think that fan ended up on the wrong side of the bracket. Lools like the mounting tabs are about the same thickness as the gap.

  4. That fan bracket seems super sketchy. It’s not a shroud to collect air from the whole area of the radiator. Instead it keeps a distance between the fan and the area it actually covers. Are the fan mounting tabs placed on the wrong side of the bracket? That would account for the missing inch.

  5. The thermostat mounting bore isn’t that important when the housing has a gasket.
