sdfE36 The quality of the extension? Do bad extensions weigh like a black hole something? The torque is identical at both end of an extension.

@Cr4nk59 How does that change the actual torque on each end?
2
Dennis Karabas That video shows someone who cannot use a torque wrench correctly. So he is not creating a torque along the extension when pulling the lever without any support at the head. Does not change that the torque at each end of the extension is identical and a torque wrench used correctly at one end will give the same torque at the other end. The 10% comes from him changing the fulcrum by not supporting the extension at the head of the torque wrench.

SlackerDrew Is it better to not torque it at all? Where do that extra torque go you think? Problem is that people cant apply the torque at the wrench side correctly. With all those extensions he has no problem keeping the fulcrum correct.

This series is the exact opposite of BoostedBoyz. All screws go back in, all things are sorted before increasing the powah.

Benjamin Oller Problem?
1
Joe0400 No they are not.

Ryan McCormick Learn to use the wrench instead of increasing the setting.
1
Ryan Walden Way to long? In this case with a joint the longer extension the better. Torque is the same at both ends.
1
Yar0nix Huh? What length was added to what?
1
Felix Sahlén Double? That is some quality right there.

Tim Steinke Cross thread is free loctite.

baby jake No they don’t. Improper use of the wrench does.

Movie Logic No prob. Mexico.

James Cantagallo Please learn how to properly use a torque wrench so you don’t need to do that correction.
1
James Cantagallo Then why the ignorant initial comment about extensions? Extensions don’t change the torque, they change the fulcrum if used incorrectly. Torque is identical at both ends if applied as a torque. In this case with a joint and long extension, with support at the head of the wrench there is no noticable change of lever.

The force acted on the wrench when releasing at 200nm is considerable compared to hitting the ground from low height.

Dennis Karabas How can the torque be different in each end of an extension unless it is spinning and has mass?
1
Jeff D. Not being able to torque would throw the torqe off way more.
1
live and let live No you don’t. You need to handle the wrench correctly.
1
Matty P P How does extensions having different torque at each end at zero velocity not rupture spacetime?
1
SjKimber No you do not. Not turning the wrench around its fulcrum looses torque. Extension has same torque in both end or spacetime ruptures.
1
chunky soup It’s not.

Declan Leggett The rolling cali stop.

Jude Karianjahi What about them?
1
Javin Jahangir He is supporting the extension, keeping the fulcrum in line with the head of the head of the wrench, hence is the torque going into the extension correct.
