The russians tried to carry out tests like this with the ISS the other week...

The rocket knows where it is because it knows where it isn’t.

All the renderings have the feeling of a person who has never worked in micro gravity.

Launches down into space?

George Clooney: SAFER system Sandra Bullock: Fire Extinguisher

You know, meteors usually hits the middle of the crater, so the visitor center was safe.
7
They learnt that back with Salyut 1. And then forgot.
6
@alexjshank Nice one!
6
Or maybe he wouldnt
5
Jupiter rules You got it all wrong. Or you are trolling all these people with all that. But just for people who wanna learn: Rocket engine exhausts aren’t pushing against atmosphere, they are pushing against the rocket itself. The shape of the nossle is optimized for atmosphere or vacuum operation.
5
Because they succeded on the first flight?
5
@scottessex952 Explain how a meteor hitting earth at immense speed would stay in one piece to be found as such. Then explain the iron crystal structurs mentioned at 5:00.
5
We need a supercut of all of Ken’s jokes during the process! Love that guy.
4
I was so burnt from the first times so I didnt bother. Should have…
4
@scottessex952 Who said it disappeared?
4
Shouldn’t the renders be based on engineering? A Dragon capsule booped against a port shows lack of basic knowledge.
3
@sm3ttz PA min vän!
3
And what concept would that be?
3
@tabeebrahman4843 Rockets need to be pointy to work.
3
@scottessex952 So you failed to answer both questions. Check. Bye.
3
@sm3ttz SM2WQF and SA2AIR says hello.
2
Jupiter rules It got medium. You utter fool.
2
Dead Baron The ”orange man bad” comments are sad.
2
Carneval rides below 100km is not space.
2
@scottmanley True, they do excede 100km by now. But at ten minutes total flight I still sort it as carneval ride.
2
Video feed cutting out at T -2 seconds was a biiiit annoying.

I am still using Windows 3.11. In a dosbox. In Chrome. To play Solitaire.

90mps is 200Mph.
2
Someone said "green board" as in Go for launch
2
Im so impressed with how the rocket held together during the tumbling, still in atmosphere.
2
@oneskydog6768 You must be fun at parties. That is a hypotetical statement. You won’t be found at parties.
2
_ VesBraun Trump trolls people like you very successfully.
2
@commiecomrade2644 You cannot explain and expect people like this to understand. Either they are trolls or demented. All you should do is to ask them question. And usually, like in this case, they cannot answer without showing the Dunning-Krueger effect in full power.
2
@the18thdoctor3 Heck, where did the volcano products go when it was done shaping a meteor crater shaped hole?
2
Cool hwip.
1
”Norminal” ?
1
Why do they think severe TDS makes an astro physicist suitable to answer these questions?
1
You have heard someone say that someone said that right?
1
justpaulo orange man bad amarite
1
You wanna fly on this?
1
Why?
1
Rosie the Rocketeer is so cringe. Jeb. Well that is epic.
1
This had me picture Ken as a cursing sailor.
1
Robin Bot What is the mistake in this case?
1
Who? What?
1
It’s Ben Shapiro.
1
Now compound that to the 107,000km/h the people in ground control were traveling

Why?

Selenium on roof tops in NY is in general a bad idea.
1
To float both means to rest on the surface layer between two matters, like water and air, or to move/ hover slowly and lightly in a matter like gas or liquid. To float in vacuum is not a far stretch from the second meaning.
1
Broomsticks to the resque!!
1
Well Scott pronounces wh as hw all the time.
1
Rawhide!!!
1
"Green board" is not "Abort"
1
Clearly? All I hear is "green Board"
1
They had control in XYZ and roll-pitch-yaw to land on those pins. Amazing.

ULA attacking SpaceX and Musk won’t help them there.
1
Not without software.
1
@emperorbless120 You think that would fly?
1
@Rocketguy6969 If Scott knew there is an error in the title, do you think he will keep it?
1
Those fountains look like they would put out an engine.
1
@HalNordmann SLS core stage goes to orbit?
1
You did not answer what about craters that attracts meteors and makes 100% of them always land in one. Is it the shape that magnify gravity attracting them?
1
@scottmanley Target audience isn’t really the people understanding the energy pulse shaping the crater while the meteor is most likely to come in on an angle. But the fact that the meteors aren’t found in the crater creates a whole new subset of ”truthers”.
1
@CaptainVideoBlaster You wanna do a ”wElL AcTuAllY...” and still get it wrong with sayig ”centrifugal force”, one of the most common pet peeves for people like you?
1
5:02 Larry King iron 5:06 Norm MacDonald iron
1
So, this happened back with Salyut 1. That is kind of weird.
1
I think he doesn’t. The subject makes it funnier.
1
Ok. He claims he knows.
1
Does Scott know what ”turning japanese” actually means?
1
@scottessex952 You can make carbonated water with diamonds. So what is your point?
1
@scottessex952 Please explain the shape if this a dead volcano. And again, this time with some actual facts, explain how those minerals were formed by a volcano.
1
@scottessex952 Please help me find a single active crater shaped volcano surrounded by flat ground for considerable distances. Then we can go on to you actually explaining the minerals.
1
@scottessex952 So you cannot name one active volcano that is crater shaped (convex, ridge, but bottom lower than flat land around it)? Good to know.
1
@scottessex952 You are the one claiming craters are dead volcanos even thou there are no provable volcanos shaped as craters. It’s on you to prove that a volcano can have this shape. And you fail. Good bye.
1
Watching the Astra and Firefly launches, I would of sworn Firefly flew higher, but I trust Scott.
1
Starship Dolphine is not working.
1
Because noone said Abort at T-3.

Look again.
