What the hell is wrong with a country that holds the civilians of another country hostage and says, “Give up or we kill your people?” This is Putin’s war, but it is the Russian’s people’s fault. They will bear the guilt for this just as the German’s accepted and bore the guilt for Hitler after WWII. The Russians enable this.

Freezing to death is the only way for a Russian soldier to keep a stiff upper lip.

Lee Ellak The U.S. didn’t invade Cuba, nor did it bomb Cuba. The U.S. blockaded Cuba from the Soviet ships bringing in missiles, and there was a standoff. Finally a deal was struck between Kruschev and Kennedy to not place missiles in Cuba and to not attack Cuba. Do you not see the difference? It’s a difference between day and night. Maybe you’re confused and think that the Bay of Pigs was a U.S. invasion. It was not, although it was supported financially by CIA “freelancers”. The Cuban nationals, counter-revolutionaries, were on their own and died on the beaches. The U.S. military offered no support whatsoever, neither naval, air, or soldiers. The military did not equip them. This misguided involvement and CIA failures in Vietnam led to a public reappraisal of the agency in the 70s, when Congress put a leash on its “extracurricular” activities.

@joseluciocorrea1866 Exactly. If we are going to compare this to the Cuban Missile Crisis, NATO, Zelensky, and Putin would have negotiated a compromise, as Kruschev and Kennedy did.

@dyr_glpsn4209 Free speech is good because it helps us identify the morons easily.
