  1. Sitting around and engaging in idle speculation with your friends is not science. To make it science, one thing you do is conduct experiments and/or collect observations, and compare the evidence with your hypothesis. If you didn’t do the science, science hasn’t “caught up to you”. Science confirmed your idle speculation, as it often does because people engage in so much idle speculation.
    2
