What are Alt Ancient History people trying to hide? Why are they so defensive and protective of their Alt Ancient History orthodoxy? Itās quite simple: they have a stranglehold on TV shows that they donāt want to share with legitimate science based ancient history, archaeology, and genetics. And if they opened themselves up to the innovations and new discoveries of science-based research and empirical evidence, they might lose their grift . . , . I mean tabloid funding. If you want to tear down Big Pseudoscienceās veil, follow the money.

Nope, it goes back much much further. On can point to the book āChariots of the Godsā (1968), for example. But one of the original bullshit artists who mentioned Atlantis is cited in this very video: Plato, who wrote it in The Republic, approx. 375 BCE. Possibly it is older than that, as Plato claims his source material was from his teacher, the well known grifter and corrupter of youth Socrates.

Ā @mattm8870Ā They hired the dude precisely because he could give them more profitable garbage. And it was probably a perk negotiated by Hancock to keep his son employed, because any dunce can make garbage documentaries. It takes no special skills, nothing you couldnāt pick up in a week. They were going to have to hire someone to do it, might as well be the idiotās son. So it isnāt the son getting his dadās tripe on cable or streamers. Itās the dad shifting some of his ill gotten gains to his son in the form of salary.

What would prevent Netflix from broadcasting garbage? Itās their platform. Sensational trash is popular and profitable. AFAIK, Netflix makes no claims about the veracity of their programs. If you somehow got a Netflix executive to answer why they are purveyors of pseudoscientific crap, they would probably say they are providing entertainment, not scholarship.
