@petersoerent2554 ecause the BRICS countries aren’t even a political alliance. They’re an artificial (in that they’re not geographically related) trade association. Two of the members are intense political-military rivals. One is a rogue state. And Brazil and South Africa are potential Chinese footholds on two different continents. This trade alliance has proposed some lofty goals, but has made little progress. I won’t laugh them off, but they don’t pose an economic threat to anyone. I don’t think any of them want to host Putin. Maybe China would take him, “for old times sake”, but Xi doesn’t strike me as the sentimental type.

@MichaelDeSanta. Bingo! Luka doesn’t want to ask Pooty for help, lest he get demoted to “Governor of Belarus Oblast”. And that’s if Putin has the wherewithal to assist. Wagner is like insurance (with the risk that the insurance company itself will take over your country).

Where might he flee? Mar-a-Lago? Nah. Putin would last no more than a week on Trump’s couch. Tucker Carlson’s guest bedroom. That’s my final answer. This would make a pretty good sitcom. Putin at Tucker’s with visits to Trump when Tuck and Poot have a tiff.
