@RussianSevereWeatherVideos Setting aside the computing power problem of using 25+ year old CPU technology on newer hardware, and setting aside the issues of retrofitting existing equipment designs to accept these 120nm CPUs, what makes you think that Russia has the fabrication capacity to build all these required obsolete semiconductors? Does Russia have a thriving industry that pumps out vast quantities of technology that no one wants to buy? Russia might have the theoretical capability to fall back on obsolete technology, but if it doesn’t have the infrastructure in place to fab the chips, I doubt that it will have the capacity to replace the more advanced imports it has lost. It takes years to develop the needed infrastructure. Bigger picture, Putin has crippled the Russian military and Russia’s defensive capabilities on a strategic level that goes far beyond the war in Ukraine. Honestly, I don’t think Russia could be worse off if they elected Donald Trump to lead it instead of Putin. Everything Putin is doing to supposedly strengthen Russia is actually weakening it.
