  4. I don’t think that retaliation for future attacks will be a reflexive lashing out. It’s going to be surgical and well planned. The officer warned the men-in-black-masks to leave. I might be reading to much into this, but I see the following implications: 1) They’re literally being warned to get out of town. KFOR is going to take a proactive approach. 2) (this reading is a little bit sketchier) The men-in-black-masks are outside agitators. They’re not being warned to go back to their homes, they’re being warned to go back to where they came from. So I think you’re correct. This escalation of a political dispute to violence is suspect. It’s got all the hallmarks of an FSB agitprop operation, and it comes at an interesting time.

  6. There’s two ways to increase the pool of potential recruits. 1) lower intelligence and physical standards, or 2) attract more people by welcoming them with a message of inclusivity. I like option #2. You’re more likely to attract recruits higher than the mental and physical standards, you’ll get a military that reflects the country it is defending, and people with different experiences in life add to a group’s overall experience. The criticism of “woke” in the military isn’t just about recruiting and who is allowed to serve. Only a few years ago there were politicians in Washington holding hearings about officer training containing “woke” material, woke meaning ideology contrary to the ideologies of the politicians.

  9. He was telling the black masked attackers that they should leave. Fair warning that they should pack their bags and go back to where they came from (if they’re outside agitators). This tells me that KFOR isn’t going to passively wait for a repeat. They’re going to find the men who attacked their soldiers and pick them up one by one. It’s a message to those that sent them that they’re already implicated or soon will be.
