What are “ambulance-chasing criminals”? I think you might be mangling an idiomatic phrase (ambulance-chasing) that doesn’t have anything to do with crime.

@fnym9rdsavsffdik9a25 YouTube doesn’t need to crack down “harshly” (what does harsh even mean to something that is not even alive?). It just needs to crack down methodically and consistently. It probably needs to hire more humans to identify false positives. I imagine that the issue is that such actions will negatively affect profits in some way.

@alechorn1109 We can speculate, but the truth is that the criteria and the algorithm are both hidden from the public. Social media sites that are providing us with these public squares for information and debate all resist transparency and they seem to favor bad actors and purveyors of disinformation.
