@michaelswagson4457 This might be a future issue when we need to distinguish between civilian androids and battle androids, but using non military gear for military purposes is not a war crime. Camouflaging military equipment to blend in with its surroundings is not a war crime. What you’re thinking of is human soldiers posing as civilians, which is a war crime. If the drone operators are wearing the correct uniform, there is no problem. I think you can make an argument to change warcrime law because spoofing a transponder could lead to undesirable results, but we are talking about what the law is right now.

@doomerbloomer6160 You need to cite the part of the regulations that specifically address equipment and then cite a case to show precedent. AFAIK, there is no specific law on military equipment camouflaged as civilian equipment, and no case law. I think arguments can be made that there SHOULD be warcrime laws regarding this. If you’re just offering your opinion about what is right and wrong, and giving your reasoning, then cool. I don’t think anyone would have a problem with that.
