Points to the ticketing officer. Points to the department for applying proper punishment. I hesitate to award points to the driver for behaving as he should during the stop, but I’ll give him points for reporting his traffic infraction to his superior and taking the punishment. All in all, it’s sad commentary on policing in general in this country that police acting ethically is notable enough to make a video about it. Good going for this department and these individuals involved, but the context is that policing is in a sorry state.
