@Fabian-Wenzel I see your point, but that was a really long time ago. More recently but also long ago: in 1979, the PRC tried to invade Vietnam and had their asses handed to them. So which is it? Or maybe neither. Maybe it’s difficult to tell how good a military is today from their past glories or defeats. But the best military in the world still hasn’t answered the question, “if you win the war, how do you win the peace?”
