  5. If we’re going to ask your question, we should probably be asking a series of fundamental questions. What purpose does growth serve? I think the chain of questions (questioning our assumptions) that follow lead us to basic questions of political philosophy: what is the purpose of society and who does society serve? I’m not sure if this venue is the appropriate forum for such discussions, nor am I certain that the community here has sufficient understanding of the body of knowledge of those that have wrestled with such questions. I’m not even sure I have the requisite learning, tbh. Back to your question: what is an economic dream? Is it an unrealized goal? An unrealistic goal? What makes it a dream, rather than a program? Is it a means or an end? Does it fulfill a common desire?
