You’re speculating that the victim would have lived if he meekly surrendered to violent men pursuing him with ill intent. There is not a shred of evidence that these men would have spared his life, and much evidence that they intended to use deadly force, as they did.

  3. Or murdered him. They armed themselves as they exited the vehicle, which signifies they intended or at least were entertaining the idea of killing him. This doesn’t signify that they were content with overpowering him with superior numbers and beating the crap out of him, nor does it signify that they merely wanted to detain him. They were prepared to use their firearms when they exited the vehicle with those firearms in their hands.

It happened months ago, but the prosecutor of that jurisdiction declined to prosecute, and the second prosecutor had a prior relation with one of the killers (ex cop) so had to recuse, and finally there was enough public outcry for the AG to investigate the case. Double check me, I might have details wrong, but it seems like there was an initial attempt to sweep this under the rug. If the case has an effect on the election, and if that’s because the case was delayed by a good ole boy network, it’s poetic justice.
