@Poul Gin You wish. Putin has pissed Xi off with this stupid and useless aggression. Russia has become that friend that China doesn’t want to be seen with in public, because Russia’s actions embarrass all her friends. Putin’s aggression has had the effect of putting a focus on China and her territorial ambitions. Why would Xi want that? He doesn’t. He wants to continue building the Chinese economy while slowly and surely extending China’s influence and territory.

@trekkienzl2862 It’s the thief crying foul when you put a stronger lock on your door. In Putin-logic, preparing your defense is an act of aggression and attacking is an act of defense. I think the reason these Russian Trolls keep working is because (using Putin-logic) getting paid in worthless rubles will make them rich.

In the history of the mafia, there are several times when a crime family has thrown out the boss (and murdered him) because he was taking too much off the top or was leading incompetently and hurting their criminal enterprises by incompetence. I imagine that the Russian Oligarchs that support the Putin Kleptocracy (they’re the kleptocrats, btw) were already feeling pinched by sanctions BEFORE the invasion. I wonder what they’re up to now?
